You built yourself a world-class website, and you want folks to come visit. How do you get them there? Here are just a few of the ways to get them to stop in:

The main way folks find things on the Web is through Search Engines. So you want to build your pages to make them easy for search engines to categorize properly, and then submit them to as many as possible. The links on the right should help you with the Search Engine Submission part.

The keys to having your site found through a search is the proper use of META tags, robots.txt files, and .htaccess settings. We all know what its like to find your search has found 34,817 results, only 23 of which has anything to do with what you were looking for!

The 3 tags every page need to have are Author, Keywords, and Discription.The Author is you; the Keywords should be the words you would type into a search engine when you look for pages like the one you built; and the description should be 25 words or a bit less, telling people what your site is about. Here is an example of the format of the META tag, using my own info from this page:
