The World Wide Web has millions of places to go and things to do, and thousands of new destinations are being added every day! If you're ready to go out and try to find things on your own on the Web, this is the place to do it!
There are a number of ways to search for WebPages, and not all search engines are equal! The most useful type to go for depends on the way you like to look, and the kind of thing you're looking for. The basic types are Searchable Index's, Subject Catalogs and Guides, and Annotated and Specialized Directories. This PageSet tries to give you a shot at all of them, and devide them into the "Who/What/Where" breakdown that some people think is the W3! Sorry, that ones at Cern.
There are a lot of tools availible; in fact, there are now so many that a lot of them are specific about what they look for. The links you find here should get you started, and give you some ideas about which direction you should go next.
What do you do if you're looking for some current info or the latest rumors on a topic? Or maybe you need a FAQ on a subject, or have some questions you cannot find answers to.
