Searching for a file; Programs, Drivers, Media, Etc.

That's what a lot of people use the web for; getting great new software of all types, drivers for your hardware, sound and other media files for your collection. On the Net you can find pretty much anything you are interested in.

The download sites can be broken down into a few catagories; what type of site you search with should be determined by the file type you are looking for.

Programs New software to give you the ability to do things you had not done before. Many of the things you find from this kind of search will be freeware or shareware, some of them demo's, and some commercial. All the styles of program downloads have their own things to offer; make your choice based on your needs and inclinations.

Drivers The things that make the parts you installed in your computer work! Most hardware manufacturers have a driver download section, but the Search Drivers sites make it easier for you to get up to speed quickly.

Media Sound, Music, Video... Lots of people are looking for these, and plenty of search engines have been built to help you find them. Be careful not to get in trouble with the MultiNationals Legal Departments while going through them.
