Strider's SpeedTest!
Another tool to help you tell how your internet is doing! This one lets you test your download throughput and see what kind of speeds your ISP is giving you. Since the Web Server this page lives on is part of HostingCT, it will be most accurate for folks who have a network peering point in Connecticut for their ISP. It will be a bit less accurate, but still useful, for folks who share peering points with their backbone provider in other regions.
This was written when my web site lived on a Telco-Return Cable Modem ISP, so only Download speeds are tested here. After all, a Telco Upstream cannot operate at better than 33.6K, and why test anything that slow? But I will be rewriting it for 2-way testing shortly.
